Design of meander RFID antenna
Horák, David ; Šebesta, Jiří (referee) ; Lukeš, Zbyněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with RFID tags. In the first part of the thesis, the general overviews of the present-day RFID systems are presented. This part of the thesis is focused on the passive back-scatter UHF tags and the advantages of their application in supply chain usage. Subsequently, the electromagnetic simulators CST Microwave Studio and IE3D Zeland are described. These simulators were used to design loaded meander antennas. The antennas were designed for different materials and frequency bands of 867 MHz and 2.4 GHz. The designed antennas were made without as well as with the reflector which allows using the antennas in the vicinity of metals. Produced antennas were experimentally tested in the company METRA Blansko Inc, where one of the most significant characteristics of passive RFID tags – the read range was observed.

The usage of RFID technology in logistic processes and the consideration of economic benefits
Gomboš, Peter ; Mervart, Michal (advisor) ; Šmihula, Vladislav (referee)
Technological innovations are changing the approach to the deeply rooted processes not only in the sphere of industrial production but also in the privacy of individuals. The RFID uses a simple technology for wireless transmission of key information at different distances. The advantages of RFID are reliability, speed of data transfer and easy modification of individual components for the whole variety of specifications and requirements. RFID technology is also very adaptable and flexible so it can be implemented in almost all processes, where the lightning-fast contactless identification of objects is possible. The question is the economic return on invesment in RFID, which is still a very significant cost.
Use of RFID in logistics
Skála, Michal ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Basl, Josef (referee)
The Bachelor thesis focuses on two best-known technology automatic identification, barcodes and radio freguency identification (RFID). The goal is to acquaint readers with these technologies and describe a possible procedure implementating RFID to logistics warehouse. At the beginning of the work are presented theoretical information, that are important to understand these technologies. Using practical experience I am trying to outline the introduction of RFID to logistics warehouse. The main contribution of this work is to look at the issue of the implementation of automatic identification from another perspective, to introduce RFID technology, which expects a promising future and shows detailed analysis of the cost of RFID tag. The second chapter describes the most known bar-code technology, since its creation to the present. There are listed the most common types of bar codes and equipment used to scan bar codes. The third chapter focuses on RFID technology. It deals with different types of RFID systems in terms of functionality and differences between them. There are presented the equipment needed to run the system. The fourth chapter deals with the safety of RFID technology in terms of threats and understanding the reasons for the attack on the technology. The fifth chapter focuses on the analysis of prices of a particular RFID tag. It examines why prices are that high and how the price could change in the future. The sixth chapter describes a possible procedure for implementing RFID into the logistics of a particular stock. It includes a SWOT analysis, which highlights the strengths and weaknesses of this technology. The seventh chapter predicts the possible development and application of RFID in the future.
The rationalization of the flow of transport units among the company Continental Teves and suppliers
Voleníková, Štěpánka ; Pernica, Petr (advisor) ; Mervart, Michal (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the rationalization of the flow of transport units among the company Continental Teves CZ, s.r.o. and suppliers. The objective of the thesis is to map the flow of transport units, to suggest possible solutions and to pass judgment on a possible implementation of automatic identification that can facilitate monitoring of such marked transport units. The theoretical part of the thesis describes specifics of automotive industry and of supply chains that operate there.

Technologie RFID
Černý, Tomáš ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Derfler, Václav (referee)
Práce poskytuje přehled o problematice RFID technologií. Analyzuje historický vývoj RFID technologií, popisuje základní komponenty RFID systémů, normy spojené s RFID, bezpečnost RFID a trh RFID technologií.
Diplomová práce pojednává o možnostech využití radiofrekvenční technologie (RFID) v logistice, vysvětluje její funkční principy a současné použití na případových studiích třech významných retailových společností: Kaufhof, Marks and Spencer, Tesco. Vysvětluje výhody technologie oproti čárovým kódům, mapuje standardizaci na národní a mezinárodní úrovni a vyjmenovává faktory, které brzdí celosvětové rozšíření RFID. V závěru nastiňuje budoucnost této technologie.
